AGLL Umpire Clinic

Dear Membership

Opening day is almost here, but before that we have an umpire clinic scheduled for Sunday, Mar 4th, at 2:00pm. Anyone interested in learning the basics should come and learn umpiring techniques from our Chief Umpire Gary Jander along with Brent Forest, our District Umpire Representative. This clinic will be fast paced and designed to teach you the most common umpire rules and positioning. As part of the Major and Minor Level games, we need parent volunteers to help umpire games. If you are a parent at any level, please step up and help us make this season’s games a success.

Our Opening Day is planned and scheduled with the following list of activities. We look forward to seeing everyone at the fields for a great start to the season.
Opening Day activities – Major Field Allied Gardens Little League
Pictures will start at 8:00 am and end by 10:30
Majors, Minors, Rookies, T-Ball
10:45 am – all players, managers, and coaches line up on field by teams.
Opening announcements officiate the start of baseball followed by team introductions.
Raffle give away pre-game, both games.
11:30 am, start first of 2, 3-inning major exhibition games
Second game will start 15-20 minutes post 1st game
11:00 to 2:00 AG Kiwanis will be cooking burgers, hotdogs, etc
Approximately 2:00 pm - end of activities.
Again, we look forward to seeing everyone at the fields.
